My Stratmosphere didn't fit perfectly the first time I installed it. Turned out one of the hangers was slightly bent; used a wrench to straighten it. Fit better but still was touching the bumper cover. Fitted a small stack of washers under the hanger brackets to drop the mufflers about 1/4". Best fit yet but there is a very, very slight bias to the left, almost undetectable and not worth messing with.

Biggest problem I have is a boom on the highway between about 70 and 78 mph, with the windows up. Quite annoying when most of my driving is around those speeds. With the windows down and cruising back roads, the system sounds great! Might go back to stock if I move soon and have to commute a lot.

Eric

after looking under the car, the hangers are fine. it was just sliding to the left in the rubber hangers. i made some extra stabilizers on each side out of strapping metal. its now secure and doesn't move. will post pics soon!

Had the same problem, slight left bias and not quite low enough. Use some washers for spacers with more on the left. Seems to be hanging fine now. Sure does improve the sound of the car.

Anyone who has this problem in the future can quick-n-easy fix it by bending the driver's side outer hanger away from the muffler can. Take a pry-bar, ground it against the can where the hanger is welded to it and just bend it out about 3/4". Problem (usually) solved.
