Drivetrain oil in #1 plug; others ok....need advice
oil in #1 plug; others ok....need advice
So i'm swapping out my plugs for the JCW ngk plugs during my pulley install.
I pull the #1 plug and my plug is literally drenched with oil, the other 3 seem to be okay.
My searches online say that a valve cover gasket set replacement ought to cure things right up.
Is that the consensus?

You need # 5 to stop oil from invading spark plug tubes.

an FYI, the spark plug seals were VERY hard for me to get off on my own, pliers, vice grips, nothing worked, had to take the valve cover to the dealer, they got them off and put the new ones on for free, it was a bad day
, but in the end it was resolved, just a heads up...
the reason they were hard to get out is that they arent just rubber, they are rubber coated metal seals that seem to be pressed in.
