I really wish someone from NM would do a Q&A or at least make a post here about the tune. But, since your 5 mins away why not just go, talk to them, get a tune and report back here on it. You of all people should be an early adopter due to your proximity and the ability to get help if needed.

Maybe they can give you a discount if you promise to promote them on the forums.

I've contacted them in the past. It's about 3 hours round trip for me. I just need to save some funds and take a day off from work to do this.

My car has GT28RS with schrick 248 10.7mm cams running an alta/cobb map. There is plenty of power left on the table without upping the boost based on the logs I've pulled. Only 4* of timing at peak torque and like 8* up top. That's nothing on a DI engine.

Ray- Give them a call.

Automan- Lets say today I get a tune. Next week I install an intercooler to help the car handle it. They will give me a retune to accout for the new part if I just drive down (or for others, by sending the ecu).

Yeah i read the article thats how I found out. Looking for some members who have tried multiple tunes or at least just to compare to stock. As opposed to a journalists 'friend'.

i too am interested in this! Is there any chance this could be done on a handheld device to eliminate the need to send it back and forth for re-tunes?

Unfortunately, it's only available as a bench tune - which requires they have your ECU in hand.

Me and another member just got the tune done today. Car feels great. I'm curious to see the numbers on my next dyno. Definitely pulls nicely in 6th.

Now, I have an issue that i've had prior to the tune, but is now more noticable. I get this huge lag when i try and jump on the throttle between 3200-4000 rpm. The car bogs down and sometimes i hear a rattle of some sort. So say i downshift to 5th and get on it, sometimes it will bog. If i get on it from a lower rpm no issues. If i over rev and start at a higher rpm, no issues. In fact, today when i was on my way home, I was driving with just the sport button on. Then i turned on the SB to green mode and jumped on it an was ok. I then turned it to the red mode and jumped on it and "pop", my discharge pipe popped out of the connection on the bottom. Went back, had Jerry at NM get it on the lift and get it back together and everything was ok. Still have the lag issue and i'm really wanting to know what exaclty is causing it.

I suspect the lag has something to do with the switching between open and closed loop in your fueling. That's usually the culprit when people do tunes on their cars and notice a lag for a small window.

This happened prior to the tune though. I think it's more noticeable because the new power makes me want to push it even more than usual.
