Drivetrain Cold tube/sound generator hard pipe

Cold tube/sound generator hard pipe
So since many people on this forum like to ***** on diy drivetrain people vs spending hundreds for a vendor product, i'll be ready to be flamed.
This doesn't exactly fall in that category, but since the idea of aluminized steel piping (2" dia.) for the intercooler muffler delete...
I thought about those who have the noisemaker/sound generator delete. We all have that pointless T fitting with the tube, which a bottle neck.
For those who don't have an aftermarket cold side pipe, anything wrong with taking out the T fitting and putting a straight hard pipe there?
I'll have to measure the diameter, but i see it better than having a plug on the end of the noise maker tube.

its a good idea except the metal fitting going into the top of the t piece... you'll have to find some way to take that off before doing your mod... i don't think it'd be hard... but if you don't like it afterwards, it's not something you can exactly reverse if you do it... as opposed to the pipe in the hot side tube which can be reversed...

The only real issue with this is that most people use a pipe that does not have a lip on the ends. This lip helps make a proper seal and serves as a pinch backing for the hose clamp. If you don't use a pipe with a rolled lip than just be cautious of how much tube you leave behind the clamps and that it's sealed all the way around.
It should also be noted that not only do these aforementioned vendors sell this with the muffler delete, you get multi-ply silicone bends, instead of the rubber degradable susceptible to expansions, collapse and cracking.

I Just took the hose from the plastic T to the firewall off (sound generator) then went to my local auto parts store and picked up a 3/4 to 1 inch expandable rubber engine freeze plug ($3.99) and plugged up the hole going into T at Throttle body. Can get pics if needed. Quick and easy DIY delete!
As for the HOT side intercooler muffler, I did the 2 inch I/D aluminized pipe, unfortunately haven't gotten much drive time with the mods because my Mini Blew a head gasket, Not cool... but mods seem to be working fine!
