Here is the link for the YouTube video. This is my second lap. Disregard about the first two minutes. I was nervous as **** still and had my two buddies in the car. Forgot to turn off the damn Traction Control for the first few turns too
My second lap!
Oh and there should be a cursing disclaimer Me and my buddy are Infantry in the Army so it comes to naturally to us!

Cool video.
Yes, because being infantry means you curse more than everyone else.

Ok, guys, if you want to…
a) go through the thread, find out what the most frequently asked question is, then ask it again
b) argue with each other about the virtue of requested features
c) argue with each other about what Alta's development priorities should be
d) post videos of your laps with the AP
e) pat people on the back about their videos of laps with the AP
f) figure out who swears the most
g) have a pissing match about people in the military and what they do
h) call each other idiots (without selecting the proper your/you're, btw)
… please take it somewhere else (i.e., go start your own thread). It does not belong in here.

i. come into thread and try to moderate it.

figured someone was going to make that extension.
but, seriously, it appears that some moderation does belong in here… you crazy kids can't seem to help but be repetitive, needy, confrontational, and off-topic.

We are merely awaiting the announcement for the 2011 compatibility and the P&B.
There is nothing serious left to discuss.

It appears I'm out-voted then. If you all want to fill this already very long thread with more off-topic and/or bickering cruft, go right ahead. Seems to go against forum etiquette, but hey, if nobody else has a problem with it, knock yourself out. I guess it just means the rest of us will have to go somewhere else to find actually useful information and news relating to the AP.
On the pluss side, I guess my email inbox won't continue to get hit every 15 minutes with thread update notices about how much military people swear and who is or isn't a pirate.

Ok guys: Lets not have this get any farther out of control. For the new-to-the thread folks lets have them get information they need.
So, lets re-center, get back on track and move forward? All sound good?
Pop and Burble: We want to. Not available yet. We'll keep people posted when we get farther.
2011 S Models: (2011 JCW compatible now) its a huge roadblock and being re-assessed now. What would REALLY help get it done, is larger sales and participation in the 2007-10 clients. The R&D for the product isn't, and won't soon become inexpensive. So rally those guys to start buying now, to help move the 2011 process along.
General: WE love the comments, feedback and support! You guys keep it up, and we will do the same to you!
Thanks again!!!!!

Good post all around.
Honest, and confirmed my own sense from the prior few posts around the web that suggest the 2011 S has only been cracked so far directly at the board level, and then only w/ difficulty.
I'm an owner of a 2010 S, and an AP. Both great additions.
More interest in the family too on Mini's. But, I reached some conclusions in the past few months already from other occasional technically oriented postings, and then this tends to confirm. Was hesitant to say it though given likely disappointment or disbelief from the 2011 and CM crowd, plus Alta (and RMW's) much deeper inside ECU and programming knowledge makes them the much better authorities.
My conclusions going in as things stand now is to figure if I get a gen 2 from 2010 or prior, or a 2011 JCW, I can obviously use an AP. Means any CM consideration is in the non-AP bucket (other cars are Audi AWD's for mountains). And, I'm speculating there will be a revised JCW (and probably kit too) since the performance spread to the S has tightened some with the 2011 revisions, and maybe to spiff sales of CM once the short term excitement subsides some. But I'm expecting that will be a locked down ECU in turn. That is all just by extrapolating MINI's historical approach. Said more simply, my planning is used to consider used gen 2 Minis w/ AP availability, or new Mini's (ex-current year JCW) and assume ECU power is likely to be as factory built or maybe a TBD JCW kit w/ higher expense. If I figure maybe longer term on an AP type product for any of the updated motors as a possibility, I'm not banking on it and it won't surprise me if it could only be done by pulling ECU from what has been reported so far; if so sounds like a low volume product.
