Just got back from Helix in Philly where I had Dinan CAI, 15% Helix pulley, Brisk plugs and a 19mm H-Sport sway bar installed. Drove off and thought, hmmm doesn't feel that different. Then I got to the on ramp to the freeway and discovered that my Mini Cooper S is now a fire breathing monster! If you're thinking about these kinds of mods yourself, stop thinking and do it.

How does a sway bar, particularly rear, affect handling? I know it reduces body roll but how does it feel? Will it enable you to take the twisties faster? About how much faster?

probably one of first mods I'll be doing.

@R53 Speed... So far I've only really driven it back from Phillly and most of that was freeway driving. However, I did take the odd on and off ramp and from that I can tell it's more precise for sure. I haven't had a chance to hit any real twisties yet, but aiming to tomorrow. You should read MotoringFile's review of the same bar.

@R53Speed... well I went out again today. Sprain Brook Parkway in upstate NY/Westchester... nice road, but really more long sweepers than anything. Hit a couple of smaller roads in the area, too, but not enough for a proper test (don't know the roads round outside Manhattan that well). That said, the sway bar definitely makes a big diff... essentially eliminating understeer and makes the car more precise.

@gbx... thanks... I LOVE the sound of the Dinan intake and the extra power from the pulley is ridic. I take it you have a 15% pulley, too? LOVE it.
