just to clear things.

I don't have the port, I only have the BOV. I've removed the noise generator hose and placed the BOV instead and I'm not using the small hose . Am I doing it right?

I looked at your picture. Yes, you need the boost port. The hose in question connects to that port (the thing). The port has inlet on the side. It is hard to see, but the hose is about 18in long and goes from the BOV to the port. Mine is just zip tied to the firewall.

I thought the port is needed for boost gauge only, isn't it?

You have to call Alta but from what I understand is that the hose is a vacuum line which gets it vacuum from the boost port. This is what opens the BOV. Without it hooked-up, it won't work. Again, call the Alta guys and ask them for the 100% answer.

You are correct. You need the boost port adaptor to make the BOV work. Give me a call!

I got the port but the small plastic screw is broken and the problem is I live in Saudi Arabia, so I can't connect the hose to the port....

Without a vacuum source the BOV will not work. What plastic screw do you speak of? Can you source one at a local hardware store?

Thanks for the reply!

You can use the HKS BOV with the OEM Diverter valve in place, or you can bypass the OEM part.

You choose!

I'm assuming this would be the same for a Greddy BOV?
