Megan Header Question

Good Morning NAM [in my best Robbin Williams voice],

First post ever.

I am buying a 2004 MCS next week and have been wondering about this low cost header/cat combo:

This Megan Racing Header (AutoX is selling for $179+shipping)

and this Hoffman Sports Cat (on ebay for $274+shipping)

Hoffman Sports Cat

I Know next to nothing about these products (or minis in general) so any and all thoughts are welcome!

Thanks in advance!

I've installed several of them, and I caution you that you get what you pay for. It's a cheap header, and I promise your car will be louder.

So would the same go for the Megan Coils? Since they are cheaper the others, would you say the quality is not up to par?

Megan was 1st header I put on, and as Clint said, I put in like 2 hrs with an air grinder to match it with the gasket...

Same for me Coopselt.

That catalytic converter is for a classic Mini and would not fit at all Arek.

I got a magnaflow cat, 2 flanges and made it work(https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...rt-header.html).

save up for RM double U street header. Comes with cat. Save time and money in the long run. Not loud.

Everything I keep reading only confirms you can't sacrifice much on price for a quality header. The OBX used to be better that what it now is too. For me I want to get a header next, but the cost is hard to swallow at the moment, to compliment my Stratmosphere exhuast which Way did a great job installing!

I was about to tell you don't need it then realized it was an 04 so go right ahead Megan is a good company I had a race pipe on my last car by them. Though get it powder or ceramic coated for heat reduction purposes.
