Anyone familiar with Hamann oerformance packages. They sell several versions or stages, I wonder if they are imported in the US?
|
who is hamann?
|
Don't know about the performance items, but I do know they import rims. So I figure if they can get rims then you can get the performance stuff. I know a couple Mini owners with Hamann rims. I wish I could afford some Hamann rims and performance parts.

what are really the gains on hamann performance products?
like their sport exaust or their xxxx product? i dont see many products for the mini so i wouldnt know what products they have. so it would be nice to know what the gains are for the hamann products cuz im telling my friend that i want to go all hamann. haha im willing too put out funds to be the only one to do that!!!! our mini is original. we might as well have our own style to stand out from the rest of the pack. |
nammerz--ur not the only one going all hamann, there are other people who have and are going all hamann
here is some info for you HAMANN - The HAMANN CS4 SPORTKIT is the maximum power stage for the Mini Cooper S. The conversion contains a sport air filter, a modified transmission-ratio for the supercharger and a complete high performance exhaust system with special manifold, metal-bed catalysator, a front silencer and a rear silencer. All components get perfectly coordinated with a modified ECU. The success of these modifcations can be read on the impressive performance data: With HAMANN CS4 SPORTKIT the 1.6 litre four-cylinder supercharger engine delivers 211 hp and generates 188 lb-ft of maximum torque. The road performances are improved accordingly. The sprint from 0-60 mph is handled in 6.6 seconds only. Maximum speed is 141 mph. HAMANN provides exclusive accessories for the new Mini Cooper S. At first the HAMANN tuning programme for the MINI contains custom-made light alloy wheels, a lowering kit and a sports rear silencer. HAMANN developed new HAMANN HM4 light alloy wheels especially for the smallest offspring of the BMW family. The drop center wheels in current multi-piece look are driven on the MINI in 8Jx17 dimension all around. The ContiSportContact 2 in 215/45 R 17 dimension on front and rear axle was tested out to be the optimal tyre choice. HAMANN offers extra driving fun with a height-adjustable coil-over suspension and 18-inch wheels and tires. The stiffer set-up sport chassis lowers the small car by up to 50 millimeters front and 30 millimeters on the rear axle. The progressive springs and the stiffer shock absorbers of the HAMANN coil-over suspension make the handling of the Cooper S even more sporty. Alternatively the top-of-the-line model of the MINI range can be lowered by about 35 millimeters on the front axle and 20 millimeters rear using HAMANN sport springs. Exclusive look and further improved driving dynamics are the forte of the HAMANN 18-inch wheel/tire combination which is available for all new MINI models. The multi-piece HAMANN PG4 8Jx18 five-spoke wheels with polished outside well perfectly fill the wheel houses with 225/35 ZR 18 tires all around. HAMANN also gives the look of the MINI Cooper S a special exciting touch: The HAMANN front spoiler is fitted on the standard bumper and reduces the lift on the front axle at high speed. To upgrade the back of the car, HAMANN offers a roof wing, which replaces the standard Cooper S roof spoiler, and a diffuser to fit below the rear apron. https://www.fast-autos.net/hamann/mini.jpg |
^ Thats one sweet mini! I want that front spoiler!!!

haha of course i read that. i did a good amount of research and studying but thanks again for that information!
but you know how like randy gives out specific numbers on specific parts. well i was wondering if any of you guys know that. cuz i mean every other company offers "staged kits" or what not and they all go around that same amount of hp anyways 210 -220 around. so its just a matter of what company i want to go for. but for hamann i would just like want to know individual gains on individual parts that hamann offers. oh btw, how come randy doesnt offer hamann? thanks you guys... looking forward to meeting everyone of you guys. |

yeah i feel you on that. hamann is an excellent company. but its just that its like me going to some person who does not know about cars and i tell them to buy themselves an escalade. its all "bling bling" but that car has really bad reliability. not saying hamann is all "bling bling" its just that hMMmm haha i dont know what to say. im going all hamann for sure. well i just need proof to show other people why im going to spend that much cash on a company that i cant seem to find any power gains on specific products.
for example. my friend says that i should have gotten a rsx s. his car is titled fastest rsx in the bay area. good bang for buck in my opinion. but then i wanted the mini so i order one. but then when he finds out that im spending 2100 just for the exaust alone. he'll be like you could have this or that. you feel me? its not all about hp this and torque that. im actually into track and auto x. but for me putting in a lot of money into my mini. i just would like to know what benefits i can get. thanks red. |
nammerz..i feel ya bro
cuz i am a die hard honda fan at heart..turbo crx, turbo b18c integra..blah blah  b20/vtec wagon  i know u want to know the hp numbers per mod, but why dont you just get the full hamann package for 210 HP..then u dont need to know waht each part makes...buy the full package, BADA BING BADA BOOM  like that! yo  btw..i auto-x at the coliseum all the time..with some of my ae86 buds.. hhee so i feel ya bro  |
yeah you're right bada bing bada boom right?!?! hahahaha
ill settle for that instead. i just need to know prices and where i can find a dealer that is willing to do that. well thanks red. oh by the way. haha i work at the collsieum. good money i tell you that for sure. |
