I've seen it on other minis as well, stock and modded.
Tried it last night on my way to the Philies game. Never used max before. It dropped to about 185 in no time. This ties into what I have observed on track sessions. My water temp drops about 30 deg at wot, but quickly goes back to 220 as I leave the track.
