alta's boost tubes and finished m7 grill

i posted my m7 grill thread on the int/ext but since i got the boost tubes i didnt know where to post the thread so i figured i should just do it on here then. installing the boost tubes was really easy in a sense that it was pretty straight forward but it was just trying to loosen those clamps that was hard. i ended up having to snap off the resonator's thing that connects to the frame because it was so hard to get that screw out. the tube that goes along side the firewall was also a pain because of how hard it was to unscrew the clamp of the smaller hose. after i finished the tubes, i finally placed my front bumper (which i already had installed the m7 aero grills) and took it for a test drive.

CEL came on and so i called alta to find out if i did anything wrong. i left my name and number but the funny thing was i turned on my car again and then it disappeared. i figure it was the ECU just getting used to the new airflow or whatever. so im good to go now. enough of the talking. i know you guys are here for the pics.

I really like the M7 lower Aero Grille and the way it covers the fogs. Very Sierra-Hotel, and a smart way to protect them.

Enjoy!

loosening the cold side lower clamp and getting the OEM hose to come off then the Alta hose back was an utterly miserable experience. Maybe I just didn't have the right tool for the job.

note to self: next time call and ask vendor what tools are most helpful for an installation beforehand!

Great job though! The M7 grilles look pretty slick

Very nice but why did you go with with the M7 lower grille and not the upper?

HEY Thanks for the business and for the post. Not trying to throw a wrench your way but the photos above do indicate a problem that will be VERY serious in short order.

You need to put a clamp on the Red Boost Tube leading to the sound generator. That is under pressure and either some boost pressure will be lost or a TON will be lost when it blows out and then you will be stuck! Get on that ASAP! Clamps were included in the kit.

Call us if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks again for the business!

BTW: Grilles look HOTT!
