Almost every review I've read has mentioned that the only drawback to the Mini and Mini S is the off the line speed. Taking delivery in a couple months and want to be prepared to improve torque and bottom-end horsepower as soon as it arrives. All assistance is appreciated.

get the software upgrade from mini in September....especially with the AC on both models tend to lag at start...there was supposedly a programming error regarding the emission control for the US market and the software is supposed to correct the lag...neither one will ever be a pocket rocket, but the software fix might help somewhat...cheers
