Head Gasket Thickness

hi guys, putting a head on my car early next month, and was wondering about gasket thickness. I know there was a thread about this a couple weeks ago, but the answer wasnt there. I would like a thinner head gasket (i have a cooper, not an s, but posted over hear, because the s guys play around more than cooper guys). Anyway, what is the compressed thickness of the stock head gasket, and can i get thinner ones from cometic? Other wise i might pull the head apart now and get it milled down. Ive heard rumours of 12:1 compression coopers in florida on pump gas, and i would like to do that with my car. Maybe a call to Jan is in order today.

Thanks for any info, i didnt find anything in a search.

ok, cometic is .065. Still dont know what stock is tho, im assuming .065. If iwanted to spend a bit more, and send the origional down, i could have a .031 copper one made custom. I found a listing on the net for the thickness, didnt have to harass Jan afterall. I guess i will have to see what that will do to compression..
