Alta V2 IC - Cutting the hood scoop...

Hi all,

Installed the V2 intercooler and intake last night and had a question. I cut the mounting posts on the engine with the dremmel with no problems, however, I think I may have F'd the hood scoop!!

I followed instructuions and cut the plastic to where it meets the sheet metal, this was done with the engine liner OFF. However, when I re-installed the engine liner it hangs out over the back of the scoop. I.e looking down onto the hood scoop you can see the liner sticking out now.

Thoughs? Anyone else done this? I dont know if I can trim the engine liner/insulation or not because the edges are heat sealed. If I cut it it might start unstuffing??

Many thanks!

Adam,

I just didn't want to bother you at the weekend!

I also should have thrown out a HUGE props in the first post for the great products!!!! I've been driving the socks of my car and am loving both intercooler and intake. The sprayer is working great and causing me no end of entertainment.

There were zero issues with any of the fit for the intercooler - remarkably easy to install actually.

Cheers,

N
