Where do you disconnect the battery???

Im installing a Alta CAI on my JCW 03 and it says to disconnect the battery so it could reset the ECU where do you disconnect the battery? I know its a lame question but have no idea where even the battery is located. hahaha

I had the same question. It is in the back of the car

Lift up the carpeting and you will see it.

see i had read this same question before I had ever had cause to open my MINI's hood... then of course i needed to disconnect the battery for something and damn near went crazy searching through the boot for it. Then I realized that the R56 might be different and finally found it... where it belongs on a normal car, under the bonnet. I felt like a right idiot.
