What is a dog engagement gear kit? I enjoyed the video.
edit.... looked it up. Very interesting. Are you clutching with your shifts or ( how it’s explained in the video) momentarily decreasing the torque and shifting?
I read a dog box transmission also reduces weight. Curious if you know what weight reduction you gained from the kit.

I always use the clutch. I was excited about clutch-less up-shifts till I read what happens when you do a clutch-less money-shift. It was said you could wreck both the motor and the gearbox! Yikes! For sure the shift time is less - it literally clicks from gear to gear.
My mechanic commented the straight-cut gear cluster gearbox was noticeably heavier.

Interesting. I read it reduces weight and the stress helical gears put on the output shaft.
I’m interested in getting into track days. I’ve already stripped out my interior and added a cobra seat. I’ve been researching the SCCA regulations on roll cages. Chuckwalla is the closest track to me.
