I already have a spare set of hoses. Good idea to have spares.

But I may be interested in the pads and the spacers.
Also the bleed valves (if no one else wants them).

The SCDA schedule is out, just in time for Christmas, guys! They've added VIR to their menu, and MINIs are the featured marque at the 2 day WGI event in late April...tons of dates at LRP, and numerous car control there as well. Great Christmas presents for all of us track rats! I'm going to sign up for WGI when registration opens January 1st. Any other takers?

I can't tell you how much they charge for VIR since registration doesn't open until Jan. 1st. I would be thinking it will be in line with their other tracks...in the upper $300 range.

That be a Monday and Tuesday, April 30 and May 1, for WGI. I wonder whether GVC has their first event that following weekend. That is usually a 3 day event, with Friday being an open track day for A-Solo and instructors. Hmmmm, 5 track days with a 2 day break in between...

Even so, I would probably do the GVC event. Better value for me. Have to think about doing SCDA instead.

Hey, come on up for a couple of days for an event at WGI. We'll show you around and then you can do the same for us if we can get a group to go to VIR...

I think that it is about $300 per day rate for SCDA for WGI, which might compare to VIR. But remember, VIR is a 6 day trip for us for a 2 day track event. It can be done in 4, but that means driving for 10 and a half hours each way, there and back. Shame we don't know someone with a semi and car trailer we could "borrow".

VIR is too far for me, especially when I've got WGI, LRP and Palmer on the sked already...
If you do 5 track days @ WGI, you'll need three sets of brakes, two sets of tires, and at least two fire extinguishers...

And an extra set of rotors.

And don't forget that new place in NH.

Fire extinguishers? I thought those were only for Porsches...

Those are for when your brakes catch on fire...I don't remember seeing the new track in NH on the sked...

I remember somebody's brakes catching fire in the paddock @ WGI several years ago, and it definitely was a MINI...

I've seen that video before...will they be open to the public next season?

Oh, I know who's MINI that was. Wrong pads.

I thought the NH place was open now. I heard about it when I went to Palmer in Oct.

Well, since none of my track buddies got me anything for Festivus, I treated myself to a 10 event flex pass from SCDA. Now that hard part...narrowing down the picks.

Well, I figured my reflexes aren't going to get any quicker next year, or the year after that! Hope to see you at several of these track days...

That has been my plan. Warren Miller of the extreme ski movie fame used to end his movie narrations with “Don’t wait until next year because you will be a year old when you do” or something to that affect. And he is right.

Here’s to all of us getting out together this next season, and least for a few events.

GVC just published their schedule: WGI on April 27-29, June 8-10, and September 21-23.

Hmmmmm, looks like there are 5 days right in a row with SCDA on April 30 and May 1.

May need to start saving now for those extra brakes, pads and tires.

That would be an epic track stretch! One for the history books, for sure. Wishing all my track rat MINIacs a safe and fast year ahead.
