Boost issues when drag racing

Ran my first 1/4 ever with this car today and didn't get any lower than a flat 15. I expected much better because:

'09 JCW, Intake, akrapovic DP, helix intercooler, NM boost tubes, 3" dp-back exhaust to dual 2.5, RMW tune, OS Giken clutch & LSD, ohlin suspension, poly engine mount, etc.

The car spikes to 25PSI and holds 21PSI easily, hauls ass on the street. I can keep up with my cousin's genesis from a roll and he ran a consistent 13.7.

Racing: Traction Control disabled.

My 2 major issues: At launch, the car would hop, yet on the street it just does a nice spin/strong pull. The moment the car hopped I would lose all boost and have nothing, then boost would come back. I assume if I had any kind of a boost leak it wouldn't jump back to 21PSI after the hopping stops.

2nd issue, if I keep my rpm up past 6k and do a nice tight shift my boost comes back to 5PSI and just stays there, until I let go of the pedal and mash it again. I've seen this sometimes on a 2-3 shift but mostly 3-4.

Anyone with an RMW tune ever seen such issues? I can't talk to Jan because the car was tuned by previous owner.

After 8 shitty passes, get on the street, try a 3K dump, perfect pull through 1, 2 & 3, but on the track it kept losing boost because the grip made the car hop instead of peel.

I'm confused by my experience and results. My mod list should put me in low 14's or high 13's based on what I'm reading here!

Thanks!

A sticky track will do that. You aren't set up for the track without drag radials. That'd be my bet.

Doing a burnout will help and should eliminate the hopping issue and thus help with the boost loss

I am trying to remember from 4 years ago now but I had simialr issue to you with previous tunes, when I went to the MANIC tune it was a lot better.

I have this vague recollection that if i really power shifted hard i would get a slight hesitancy
