Aiming for 13's

After going to the strip I decided to set a goal of running a high 13 in the 1/4 mile... So I am about to order a cnt catback, cnt down pipe, and larger fmic, and will re-tune when I have it all installed. I will also be picking up some 15" XXR's and will throw some drag slicks on them. I already have a open filter intake system, what do you guys think? Is it possible? And yes I know driver mod counts I am fully capable of getting a good rt, and getting through the gears, just want to get some opinions of the possibility of a high 13 or better. Thanks!

It's sad that no one posts anything about quarter mile. This is exactly what I am after too. 1320 out of the U.K. Got their R56 into the low 12 seconds. That is my ultimate goal. What were your best times so far?

I'm guessing in stock trim the car goes upper 14's ? 2009 MCS? . ( stock 2016 MINI S is low 14's ) so your only talking alittle over 3/4 a second to trim off. Slicks alone should be good for a few .10's so now you need another 1/2 second. not sure what those mods will gain you in HP/Tq but you should be able to crack off a sub 14 second run even if only a 13.99.... Be nice to know what your times have been as the car sits now compared to what the magazines where getting when the car first came out...

I also think I want to make my MCS with the JCW tuner package go faster.

I'm wondering if I get a FMIC and a few other goodies what kind of times I can put down. I need to find a consultant who can talk to me about such things.

That's the truth. Thinking of just a few bolt on parts and a good tune. the question is, what's the next logical step after the JCW tuning kit.

A Manic Tune, Downpipe, IC, sticky tires and -2000 DA will get you 13.4 in the 1/4, if you can get a 1.9-2.1 60' Don't worry about reaction time, just focus on a perfect launch. mQubed
