1/4 mile mini record holder?
 

Sorry if a repost. I did a search and didn't see it.

Awesome I was curious what others were running. I was using a Gtech timer on closed road and have had 3 13 sec runs 13.62, 13.98, and 13.84. Usually it is near 14.0 or just over not bad for a few minor tweeks.

EDIT: Apparently this is actually 1/8 mile, but its still cool

It's cool but I wouldn't put it in the same category.

Both of these cars are Turbo-converted R50's running Standalone ECUs without NOS (and a very long list of mods)...

Our Tuning partner (1320MINI) in the UK just set a new World Record for the Fastest and Quickest 1/4 mile run: 10.23 @ 142.53 MPH


The previous record belongs to another buddy of our - Hubie @ MegaMINI / ABF Performance: 10.4 @ 135MPH (set back in 2008).

Very nice. Can't believe this thread hasn't seen more comments or virtual thumbs up. I know this car isn't a straight line car but c'mon.

World Record Broken
On Saturday the 7th September, at the FIA European Finals at Santa Pod Raceway, England, Thomas Barnes piloted the 1320MINI.com BMW MINI to a new world record.

What kind of engine is he running?

Can't believe a 640hp engine in a Mini could only run 10.23. But with the big mph, traction must be a factor. What is 60' time. I run a 3350lb car with only 550 hp and Ron 10.10 but only 130 mph. It is RWD.

Anyone know what the record is for the fastest "full body true mini " is ? Seams like someone over the pond had 12.4 with slicks and auto. Is that still standing ?
