stain on Tartan Red cloth and nothing works!

I'm so mad I could scream! I have the Tartan Red cloth/black leather seats and of course a bit of chocolate has been ground in before I've had a chance to fabric treat it. (Kids!) This cloth holds stains very readily compared to the Space Grey cloth seats I've had previously. I've tried the Chem-Dry carpet cleaner spray and the spot was still there as well as the border of where I sprayed! After reading this thread https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ighlight=gonzo I tried the Gonzo but the spot is still there though a little lighter and a ring where I've applied the Gonzo! So now I have a spot, a ring and a line where I've tried these cleaning products. Any suggestions? I looked in the MINI handbook and they have NO mention on how to clean cloth upholstered seats. ggrrrr. Help:impatient

I don't know how helpful this is, but I use 303 Upholstery Cleaner on my Tartan Red seats and it has lifted everything I've tried it on. I have noticed that the Tartan Red fabric does show a ring where the cleaner soaked in, but it seems to fade completely after a few days. If it doesn't go away, I find that spraying the whole fabric part of the seat wth the cleaner hides the ring (although it does take longer to dry that way).

I have to second the use of 303 Upholstery Cleaner. I have NEVER used anything better than this! It has saved me more than once!

thanks!

Ok, I will try the 303 cleaner. I was able to find the 303 Aerospace Protectant and the Fabric Guard at a local boating supply, but I'll need to hunt the Upholstery cleaner down. Thanks for the reply and your help!

You can buy it here at Autopia...they sell many other upholstery cleaning items you may want to try as well.

If you live in a larger city, you can sometimes find a "Smith & Hawken" store... very upscale gardening supply (Imagine the place where Martha Stewart would buy her silver plated shovels). They sell the 303 fabric cleaner and 303 fabric protectant for their hella-expensive lawn furniture.

Here it is: http://www.smithandhawken.com/jhtml/...PARENTCATID=10

They have a 'find a store' button at the top as well...
