What is the best way to remove light water spots on windows and mirrors?

I read some comments here to use steel wool and even Scotchbrite pads from "said" professional detailers here but I am not sure they are credible.

The RainX compound seems to be garbage to completely avoid. Any suggestion welcomed.

0000 steel wool works well. Griots glass polish works good too as long as you use a ra buffer. Too difficult for me to do by hand.Griots windshield treatment also works great, much better than RainX

save clay you used on the paint ... use it on the glass ....

if it is a chemical spot ... try vinegar

Definitely hard water. I know about vinegar. What ratio do you use in water? I am also thinking to use Magic Eraser very lightly but I am wondering if it would be too harsh on glass.

If you're wondering how to clean hard water stains, you can solve the problem with several natural cleaners.
  1. Start by mixing half water and half Vinegar in a spray bottle.
  2. Spray the mixture in your tub and shower and wait a few minutes before wiping clean.
You can also try removing hard water stains with a paste made from baking soda and vinegar.
  1. Smear the paste over the surface of the stain and let sit for 15 minutes.
  2. After the mixture has settled in scrub clean and rinse with water.
  3. It’s important that you immediately wipe dry because you don’t want the water sitting on the newly cleaned surface.
Finally, you can try removing hard water stains using lemon juice.
  1. Spray fresh lemon juice on hard water scale build-up near faucets.
  2. Rinse after 10 minutes. Again, make sure to wipe the area clean.
