Made in USA cotton towels and wash mits
I've seen that these are preferred but where can they be found? I've searched around local stores and they all seem to have the same ones either made in China, Pakistan or some other country. None in the USA. The sad but funny thing is I live in Alabama where cotton is plentiful. I can walk less than a mile and I would be in a cotton field and we even have a cotton gin a few miles away. One would think a made in USA cotton towel or mit could be found around here. Maybe I just need to go steal me some cotton and make my own.
So, where can I find some made in USA cotton towels or mits? I assume others agree that these are not as abrasive as the China, Pakistan or other countries cotton products.

I purchased my 100% Fieldcrest Charisma towel from the Macy's homestore and hacked the eding off myself.
Here's some great info on towel tips from our "famous" Zaino Bros.

They also have a distributor who custom edges odd sizes etc.

FieldCrest Cannon filed bankruptcy and closed up several months ago. You can try a good bed and bath store for towels, or step up to the next generation and get microfiber towels instead. MF really is preferable for paint care.
As for wash mitts, the best all cotton I've seen is made by Viking Car Care (corp name is Schroeder and Tremayne, out of St Louis MO) Their 100% cotton chenille is US made, and better than anything I've found. In this case (mitts), the cotton is preferable to microfiber for it's thickness, which the MF wash mitts don't have.
