Wait a minute, it's not just one reflection: You can see a reflection of the black mini in the reflection of the red mini !

I was thinking the very same thing today.... I'd love to hear from Heather and co as to their thoughts about this.

Thanks, Andrew... usually "wows" come after one of my all-day (or 4-day) detailing jobs. Nice to get that kind of reaction for an hour or so of work.

So ChiliPepJet, they look great, but what prep did you do first? Just a wash, remove any old stuff, did you clay and or Amigo? How much did you use on one MINI? I figure about 2 0z. should do a whole MINI.

I'm going to do the rest of my BRG today. Here is my plan. Wash, remove with alcohol wax from boot/rear bumper, then clay/ Swirl/Amigo boot/rear bumper, then BG the rest of the car, as the rest doesn't need all that. Then mid-week, put a second coat on the whole car, as we are motoring up to Canada, and it will be very buggy up there. Windshield will get 2 coats also, as BG works great on the glass.

As to spraying BG, I don't really see the need, you may lose some to the air from wind/breeze, plus you still need to "work" it in a bit I feel, to get good uniform coverage.

My CR Cooper just uderwent major detailing recently. So nothing but a good wash before using the BG.

Dr Evil doesn't get driven too much so I did the baggie test and didn't find anything that required claying, so off I went. I'll probably do a major detailing on him in the next six weeks, or so. (Roxanne's PW MINI is next in line though).

Agree on the spraying vs. pad application. If you sprayed it, you still have to apply it evenly with a pad. Just noting how thin it is.

Oh... and how much per MINI ? I would say I used maybe 1.75 ounces on BOTH of them. Of course, one of them being a convertible equals less area to wax.

How much did you use on each MINI?

That little eh. I think I used a little less than a 1/2 oz. on the roof(no sunroof), maybe I went a little to heavy.

? I don't know, Mark... I squirted maybe a dime size shot on the applicator and it would cover about half a door panel sized area.

Well that sounds about right, and the more area you do, the applicator needs less put on it. It's already hot here, but I'm off to do it now.

OK, first it took less than 1 oz. to do the whole car. And that was paint, black plastic, most of the glass, and a 2nd coat on the roof.

I have used many different products, and after test, and now using BG, I'm convinced this is the easiest "wax" I have ever used. The test product lasted about 4 weeks in winter conditions. If it now has more durability built in, great.

Some pics.

Before Black Wow, and Banana Gloss. Some white spots.

Sfter it's all done.

Black Wow on the left, Banana Gloss on the right.

It was 99F in the carport shade while I was doing this.

I think the combo of Amigo, and Banana gas Gloss is wonderful. The ease of using BG is like nothing I have used, and the look is amazing

Looks great, Mark !!

And you are right... SO easy to use. Because it's so easy and you can do a MINI in just a small amt of time, I can see myself using BG every month, or so.

And when I QD with Speed Shine, I'm thinking it will keep that deep shine fresh as the day it was BG'd.

I used less than an oz. on the whole car. That means 16+ applications, which should be over 2 years per bottle, per MINI. So not just easy, but cheap too.

No, I will not bring up any past dating history

Too funny ! Roxanne has those on her PW Cooper and the left one keeps popping out on hers, too.

Must be a common design flaw on the left "O".

nasty side effect

I used BG on my pepper white this morning and discovered a really nasty side effect. It looks so good that I don't want to drive it. I rode my beat-up old Maxima to work today. Amazing stuff.

First we need pics. Second you either need a small dent in it so you will motor it when it looks great, or skip the dent and just motor the thing.

Drive the MINI, poyzin ! You can then revel in the beauty of Speed Shine. It has just a touch of Carnuba in it which will enhance that shine all over again.

I forgot to publicly thank Heather for her attentiveness and courtesy when we made the pilgrimage to Detailer's Paradise a couple weeks back. It was one of the highlights of our somewhat ill-fated Colorado trip. The big dogs were comically cool as well.

I just came in from our maiden application of Banana Gloss. I know it's been a long day and I was out in the Texas sun a bit too long, but I swear...

I smelled bananas!

Sorry for the bump everyone, but I just put a single application on and it looks amazing, and it's probably the easiest wax I've ever used. I took some pics but they were more "photoshoot" kind of pics (wasn't zooming in on the paint) but they'll be in my gallery shortly.

Anyway my question is - how many layers of BG can I put on before I'm just pushing the existing wax around?
