A quick wax/zaino question
Just ordered the Zaino Triplets
All in one, clear seal and grand finale clear seal. Should I "Dawn" the car before i put it on? |
Yes, you should Dawn and clay if this is the first time you are applying wax/sealant. Check out the Zaino website for instructions. After Dawn and clay, you can apply your All In One.
I used the AIO the other day and was very happy with the results. |
^^^Yup what he said. Zaino does not recommend that you dawn wash every time you are going to wax though, just the first time, unless it has been a long time between waxing, but that you clay every time before waxing. I have used the triplets, and they work great, but as the directions say, use very little of the Clear Seal, or it won't dry for a long time. Like days, don't ask how I know this:roll::razz:

I'm not going to clay, at least not this time, everything has to be done on the street, with no hose, but I will drive out to our local:roll: jet wash which is 15 miles away and dawn and power rinse.
But one day I will clay I promise |
You don't need a hose!

(OMG, I've only begun learning about this stuff and I'm becoming obsessive!) Good luck! |

Okay... So go wash the car with Dawn. Come home and QD it then CLAY, CLAY, and CLAY. You won't regret it. IMO, it's better to only do a couple of sections of the car but do everything correctly than try to do everything but only half as good. Can you C-L-A-Y?

sorry to confuse things more but I would opt for doing the claying step while at the DYI car wash or somewhere with a hose....if you drive home the 15miles to your house from the car wash and clay there there probably will be dirt and grit on your car which would get ground into it as you clay...claying should be done on a perfectly grit-free cleaned car
