So who said Pepper White can't shine!

Washed then clay, and Menzerna polish with a FLEX Rotary, then topped with Swissvax with bare hand, sorry only picture I had that shows the depth and how wet the paint looks. Did a canyon run right afterwards and the car is dirty again! Time for another detail!

Not ME !! I said it doesn't reflect like a darker color... and it doesn't.

But *THAT* is one clean and shiny PW and you got as much reflection as humanly (or machinely ) possible from PW.

Nicely done, and in the middle of winter.

  Didn't notice that.

I take it back.... no bonus points for detailing in winter. In fact, we're going to reduce points for not driving over to Colorado to prove a point.

Hey, Ken, it's not a tough crowd, it's just that I think PGT can't get over the fact that I decided not to sell him my wheels anymore

It's January and you are applying wax and doing canyon runs? Makes me wonder why the heck I don't live in LA! :eek2:

 It's great to live in Los Angeles, and your able to almost have a constant weather year round, though it might be a bit colder in the wintertime, but none the less, great weather I really enjoy living out here  Here is more information about the canyon run! https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=123099

kenchan Jan 3, 2008 12:13 PM

alpha, so are you going to let everyone in on your secret?

Swissvax Onyx, I was told not to go with Swissvax Concorso because on lighter colors, it'll look the same. I did the side black pillar things with Concorso to see how it was though!

Concorso is even more expensive, Is it me or does detailing make your car look better than doing exterior mods?

actually on a car like yours that's already sporting nice wheels, ext
mods are probably not necessary.

If you have a PW/B I advise you not to paint your arches, if it's PW/PW it's a different story, MAYBE  You'll lose out so much contrast of the car if you paint the arches. I was going to do that, but I realized painted arches only look good on some colors, if you paint the arches on the PW/B it'll just look werid, don't believe me? Go find some pictures of different colored with painted arches, a few Pepper White with painted arches and a Pepper White without painted arches, and show your friend see what they think  But don't get me wrong, I love Pepper White MINIs with painted arches, but in my opinion, I think they look better without the arches painted!

Did I mention I just put some WheelWax on the entire wheel even the barrel  we'll see how that works out, I have heard mixed opinions about Wheel Wax. Whatever happened to those SSR Comps?

ive not tried wheelswax but ive got good results from WheelShield from DP.
that with Hydro after each wash has tremendously helped in keeping my
wheels clean.

my comps? i thought i already mentioned... i sold them to a local buddy
who races civics (he has like 3 race cars) for scca. he bent one of his
and was looking for a set + replacements. noone else really had the
16x7.5' in my area. im back to OE-style now.

Should have tried to make your EX-L SCCA ready as well  Are you rolling on the R90 or what are those in your sig? I was never able to tell, time to hop onto TireRack to look for them!
