Detailing it's not just for cars anymore.

(sorry a little off-topic)

A friend of mine just told me he uses RainX on his glass shower doors and bathroom mirror and it works wonders.
I was cleaning my bathroom this morning and when I went to get the rainx I found my Turtle Wax actually recomends bathroom use too. :eek2:
:sly: Is this comon knowlege and I'm not very creative with my cleaning products? I never would have thought to use exterior car products in my bathroom.

I've yet to see the results I'll let you know how it worked.

Aerospace 303 is also recommended on shower stalls. Plus WD-40 works wonders cleaning gunk off of shower stalls.

I use Clarity sprayed into a glass MF towel to clean my plasma tv and laptop screen. Not too adventurous though.

Turtle Wax can be used in bathrooms, I saw it on that BBC show: "how clean is your house." Never tried it though.

I polished my black fridge to a mirror shine just to mess with my cat.

Rain-X on shower mirrors is awesome if you shave in the shower.

Clarity on the bathroom mirrors works wonders!

And the Dual Pile Premium Buffing clolth makes for an excellent Dust Cloth (although I wouldn't suggest detailing your car with it after dusting!).

I've also heard that some SLICK on your eye/sun glasses works wonders as well. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure that it works well!

MLPearson79 Dec 16, 2007 06:50 PM

YES Slick on sunglasses is the best! I almost forgot about that one.

I used some Amigo on my Creative Zen, definite improvement on the scratches.

kenchan Dec 17, 2007 10:14 AM

^^ i was going to try my plastic polish myself on my zen. thing swirls
too easily.

Clarity

Makes jewelry sparkle. Love the results after soaking rings in a little shot glass and rinse. They look like new.

kenchan Dec 17, 2007 01:54 PM

^^ problem with that is a lot of folks here would probably accidentally
drink it while soaking.

EMC.GUY Dec 27, 2007 12:45 PM

well i've used polishers and waxes (Meg's) in my wood furniture for about.... 6 years! it looks like new!

DetailersWarehouse Dec 28, 2007 06:09 AM

Don't forget solid surface kitchen/bath counter tops too!!!!

MLPearson79 Jan 6, 2008 01:15 PM

I just used Mr. Clean wipes to clean the wood blinds in my office, and then Griot's Interior Cleaner to do the strips of fabric "tape" that cover the strings. Worked like a charm!

kenchan Jan 6, 2008 02:45 PM

finish off shower doors with RainX.
