Hey, we all have our limits! No worries. We certainly understand if some of you have to wait until Spring to test (or continue to test, etc).

Thanks for the review so far! Thanks also for the details in your process and your personal style. All very useful for our evaluation of "Nanner G".

Keep us posted as time goes on.

No problemo, Brendan. Of course, if you can find some time to come down to Denver and visit in person... then you can test it on-site. (yeah I know... like it's easy to find some time when you're in college!)

Perhaps they are making use of a modified JDAM

You are welcome and thank you for the oppertunity to help. I plan on a weekly write-up of how Nanner-G is holding up. The weather around here is going to be all over the map in the next few weeks. Hot, dry , cold, wet,..you name it.

Ok, back from the road trip, about 1800 miles.

Picked up a lot of mag-chloride on the Interstates in MO and KS.

I applied BG just before I left to the bonnet including over the clear-bra, BG appears to have weathered the trip well.

I did a power wash today to de-crud the mag-C, the BG was still beading up after the hot water and soap from the power wash, then a rinse.

I then proceeded to do a bucket mystique wash then a low power no-spot rinse at the power wash.

When I got home to the garage, I did a hydro dry over the Banana Gas and the shine came right up on the bonnet. Looks just like when I put it on, I did have to use a lot of bug off on the lower bonnet. I suspect the BG might be gone from the clear-bra and below due to the bug off.

I will check it again in the morning after the local flurries stop.

Ok, one week after application:

Weather during the week has been dry with temperatures running from 34F to 84F. Mostly sunshine during the week. We got a heavy rain today.

I have not washed Romi since the application of Nanner-G.

On the sections with Nanner-G, beading looks good so far. Cannot see any difference at all in the three sections in terms of beading. Shine is still equal and depth appears to be fine as well.

I finally applied the Naner Gas. Preface to say I have a fairly new coat of Deep Swax on my whole bonnet but the rest of the MINI is needing waxing.

It's 70, overcast, & humid here in Alabama. I washed the whole MINI using Smart Carwash (polymer based) except from my right bonnet stripe over to the right edge of my bonnet, I Dawn washed that area to remove the deep swax. I clayed the whole MINI except for the parts of the bonnet I was leaving the Deep Swax on. I applied Naner gas on the right portion of the bonnet, down the whole right side of the MINI, & on the whole boot. So essentially I am testing NanerG applied over non-polymer wash & over an area that was polymer washed.

I applied Deep Swax to the whole left side of the MINI.

I used a left/right swipe to apply the NG instead of circular motions. It was very easy to tell where I had already applied it as it hazed immediately. I started at the bonnet & as soon as I finished applying it on the boot I immediately starting wiping it off the bonnet. OMG it was so easy to wipe off. It looks really good but skies are overcast so I will have to see it in full sun to pass final judgement.

All I have to say is if this NG has longevity Nick better get to mixin cause the stuff is so easy to apply I am kinda liking it

I will report back as I wash weekly (I will be using a polymer car wash, my Smart Carwash) & I will be comparing how it holds up to the Deep Swax. The Deep Swax has a detailer that I will apply from time to time over the Deep Swax areas only. Nick needs to get working on a Naner Gas QD as I don't really wanna use Hydro over a product with carnauba in it. Ta-Daa

I think I have been told this before but speed shine does work over carnauba right? & I dunno anything about Griot's stuff but from reading their website it seems like Speed Shine is used for cleaning it makes no mention that it adds protection. I never use QD for cleaning, I always use it after I wash to add protection. Does it add protection? Thanks

If NG is both polymer & Carnauba, I wonder why Hydro wouldn't work. Back when I was using P21S wax, I used a Sonus QD for Carnauba that worked pretty well, but I don't think it was anything but a QD.

yeah I've used the sonus carnauba QD & it's OK but a little smeary. The Deep Swax stuff I have used on half the MINI has carnauba so their QD would prolly work but I dunno I was trying to not use the Deep products to cross contaminate. I am not saying Hydro would not work. I think some people are testing using Hydro so I was gonna try to be different plus how would you ever truly know if the Hydro was adhering or not?

MBE I should just use nothing & see how long the Naner Gas keeps beading as a stand alone but it's just nice to get your shine to pop again every few weeks using QD sooooooooo Heather tell Nick to get mixing & get me some Naner QD

or I may try Smart Detail since I like their carwash so much & their wax is carnauba based so it should work. EGADS I dunno what to do ... too many choices

Hmm. I don't really know. I just know it works over carnauba. Griot's Spray-On Wax is supposed to work over carnauba but I don't know...this whole thing is like waxing over wax on top of wax.

If you're just trying to add carnauba depth back on top of synthetic BG shine then it seems like it should work.

Hell, I dunno. :impatient Carnauba is a foreign world for me. I just like blinding shine.

Well the Banana Gas was installed 3 weeks ago. The weather has been bad & it's been rained on a bunch & snowed on at least twice. I haven't washed my car since Bananaing my car. To me it seems as though it helps shed the dirt a bit. I parked my MINI outside in the rain today to rinse some of the salt off. When I went to put it back in the garage it was beaded all over. So far I'm a happy Banana Gasser.

I am so mad this morning I can't admire my work/shine in the sun for the first time cause there's dew all over it but at least the dew is in a million teeny tiny beads

SpeedShine is good stuff. I use it liberally on my hobby cars after
drives. in fact i didn't even wash my G this year.

ML- ill take it!

as far as protection, it has very little... it's got lubricants to remove
dust away with your towel, but nothing left over other than some very
minute slick feel. for slickness i do SprayOn wax, so it would be a two
step process.

for daily drivers you're better off using Slick. it cleans deeper and
leaves behind a slippery coating.

Alright, well if you decide you don't want it, Ken can have it. It's hogging up space on my Prima shelf!

Well it has been about 3 weeks since I applied the Nanner Gas. Poco stayed clean for about a week, then rain/temps/time have prevented me from doing anything to him. The test areas are all equally dirty, not real bad except the boot, and water is beading the same on all areas. Ice slid off the same on the Zaino and BG areas when I touched it.

Should be dry and warm enough to bathe him on Thursday, so will give another update then.

Mark

ML, thanks for your kind offer but let ken have the SpeedShine. I have decided that I am going to be a pure Naner Gas tester & not touch those areas with any other product so I can judge the stand alone merits of NG

my boot, where I am testing the BG, is filthy. I plan on keeping that way until we get a sunny, 50 degree day (which will probably be in April). Then I will see how the BG stood up.
