What's in Your Detailing Cart?

After seeing Kenchan's post in another thread, makes me wonder, what's in your detailing cart? How do you keep it organized? What products can't you live without?

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...00&postcount=8

Let's see some pictures of your detailing carts and areas! Full descriptions would be awesome!

No pictures, haven't gotten my garage in shape after a move :)

But here's what I have:
Mystique, Hydro, Slick, P21S Total Autowash, Wheel Shield, Epic, Nero, Lexol Leather, Black Wow, DP Polish Bundle, Meg's white and blue clays, Octaneguy PC, Clarity, 2 5 gallon buckes (Home Despot), Dirt Guard, and a black lambswool wash mitt. Also a bunch of Meg's and DP microfibers. Almost forgot a variety of 2 ounce spray and pop tops bottles.

Keep the chemicals in a walmart plastic bin in the laundry room (temp control) and when I get my garage in order will get a plastic drawer bin for the microfiber.

cadfael_tex Sep 29, 2007 08:21 AM

Oh, and nice set up up Ken. Where's the 55 gallon drums of Hydro kept?

kenchan Sep 29, 2007 09:15 AM

thanks! :)

lol  55 gallons.

MLPearson79 Sep 29, 2007 01:33 PM

I don't have a cart; all my stuff is in a big cabinet.

Gallons & spray/regular bottles of: Mystique, Slick, Hydro, Clarity, Speed Shine, and Wheel Brightener

Regular bottles of: Glide, Nourish, Swirl, Nero, 4-Star tire gel (2), Black Wow (2), Meguiar's Ultimate QD, Simple Green, Goo Gone spray, Griot's Rubber Cleaner, Griot's Interior Cleaner, Meguiar's NXT Metal Polish, some random metal polish my father-in-law gave me, Dawn, P21s Total Wash, Griot's Engine Degreaser, Griot's Engine Spray Gloss, Meguiar's M80, Griot's Paint Prep, Wizard's Black Renew, Klasse Sealant Glaze, Scratch-X, Wheel Shield, NXT Tire Cleaner, big bottle of rubbing alcohol, Plast-X

Microfiber: Probably 30 or so cheapie Costco MFs, 10 or so Monster Fluffies, 6 or 8 Platinums, 5 waffle-weaves, 3 glass cloths, 2 round yellow MF pads, 4 fat DP MF pads, 5 or 6 DP skinny pads, and 3 starfish mitts

Other stuff: Countless assorted brushes - small rectangular stiff brush, large stiff brush w/handle, cone-shaped wheel brush, Meguiar's Versa-Angle body brush, 3 Griot's long-handled wheel scrubbers, 3 very small toothbrush-shaped brushes (one stiff, one soft, and one metal), two lug brushes, assorted application sponges, microfiber wash mitt, lambswool wash mitt, black lambswool wash mitt, Mr. Clean Auto-Dry, 2 5-gallon pails w/Grit Guards, 2 boxes of nitrile gloves, assorted foam/cotton swabs, PC w/assorted pads, lint roller, California Water Blade, 2 California Dusters (interior and exterior)

kenchan Sep 29, 2007 01:53 PM

cart comes in real handy if you need to detail cars out on the driveway.

same goes for the utility cart i got from Griot's. it's extremely convenient
to have something you can put your tools and work on instead of
on the concrete which can scratch it up. :sly: (yah, ive tried towels
and such. works great until wind blows it to your neighbor's lawn).

MLPearson79 Sep 29, 2007 03:25 PM

My cabinet is right next to the garage door...so it works out pretty well.

And I would have a hard time choosing what goes on the cart and what doesn't. The cabinet is overflowing the way it is!

eVal Sep 29, 2007 04:03 PM

I don't have a cart, I live on a hill and it would roll away :)

I did just buy a couple of buckets with lids (to go with my new Dirt Guards), figured I could stow some detailing items in there, otherwise I just have the shelves in the garage.

Product wise I have quite the sundry assortment of stuff, won't bore you with it.

You guys are too funny with this obsession.

I don't need no stinkin cart!!!

I keep my TIDE with all the other laundry stuff. Don't need anything else because the rain does the wash/rinse and the sun does the drying :lol::lol:

 i see. i suppose my direction is more defined (or pre-medidated. )
before i roll out the cart. (another way to say, i probably only have like
1/10th of wat you got ) lol

really? cause you can ride your cart from your laundry room to your car
with much higher efficiency.

MLPearson79 Sep 29, 2007 04:57 PM

I admittedly have a lot of stuff I don't use often - especially brushes. But there are like two days a year that I use allllmost every single thing in there.

Like how often do you use Scratch-X? Like almost never...but you darn well better have some!

And some of it is stuff my husband insists on having that neither one of us use

I think Darkness does... Appears he has five or six bottles of the same things !! Maybe he's a distributor !

Of course, it sort of does look like one of those cabinets the doctor goes into just before he pokes your ass for your tetanus booster. So, I'm really not sure what he's up to. :impatient

Minidrivr Sep 30, 2007 10:19 AM

Wow, you guys are serious. Looks like detailing my Min is going to be as much fun as driving it! I'm making my shopping list!

No... some of it is still inside and hasn't found it's way to the cabinet yet

edit: also, some of that is double up and there is more behind. I have sections based on the use; general cleaning, polish, wax, interior, bulk refill stuff, etc.

kenchan Sep 30, 2007 05:17 PM

so how many cars do you have?
