Come on let us know who's going on MINI Cup 3.5a meeting on Wednesday at 6 am at Potomac Yards in Alexandria, VA and 3.5b meeting up with the rest of the Philly crowd on Thursday at roughly 8 AM somewhere off of I-66W.

We will be leaving Thursday, we live in Burke, so I66 at any point is good. Who else is in?

 

Hey Mr EZ! I think Kurt (DCMM Prez) or someone from Helix may have an idea for a meeting point, so I'll wait and see, if not, then we , and any other DC area participants, can agree on a place.

 

Somewhere along I66 would work well.

 

I just went from a "not sure which day" person to a "definitely Thursday morning" person.

I suggest that the DC group meeting be at LEAST as far west as Manassas, so we're completely clear of the main traffic push before we set out.

iggy - will the PA group actually be travelling on 66? I ask because the traditional DC -> MOTD route (or one of them anyway) is to take 66W all the way to 81, then South from there. I thought perhaps that the PA group might come down 81 and not even get on 66.

For those of us that will be joining into the run along I66, the best spot appears to be the shopping center on Bulloch Rd. It is on the NW quadrant of the cloverleaf of the junction of I66 with Hwy 234 (Sudley Rd.). If we can meet up here a bit early and monitor the radios, it'll be easy to take the exit back onto I66 Westbound to join up.

I won't be able to go to the dragon, but hey, I will try to join for a little bit. What time do we meet in the morning?

 

I just pmed Scavenger, the place looks perfect. I will send everyone the stickers and waivers, you will recieve them by Wednesday at the latest.

Heres what im envisioning: I will call you when im a few minutes away from the shopping center, so you will have one last chance to go to the bathroom and get ready to hit the road. I'll pull in, collect the signed waivers, give you the triptychs and we hit the road.

Does that work for everyone?

All, please arrive at the Bulloch Rd. location posted earlier in the thread no later than 8:15AM on Thursday morning. This will give us time to do any last minute preparations you might need to do. There is a Shell gas station just off of this exit as well as a Border's book store which has a coffee shop as well as a few other retail stores.

When heading West on I66:
1. Take exit 47B to merge onto Sudley Rd/VA-234 N toward Manassas National Battlefield Park
2.Turn left at Battleview Pkwy (46 ft)
3.Continue on Bulloch Dr (.3 miles) (This will put you in the shopping center parking lot)

The Helix MINICup group projects to arrive between 8:30 and 8:45. Alex of Helix will have everyone sign a waiver and hand out the triptychs and then we'll hit the road!

i didnt pre-enter but i think we are going to meet up with the mini cup group, only based on the fact that it leaves later in the morning, and we are hard sleepers. see you all tommorow!

My Mini is still at Towson.

I brought him in since Monday in for windshield replacement, shift indicator issue, side windows and sunroof annoying noises and etc.

Windshield and others are done, except the shift indicator issue. My SA wants another day to solve the problem.

I won't be able to join you all tomorrow. With MC CVT as a loaner, I miss my Mini already.
