OH NO Momma's car got hit !!!

Kelly's Purple Mini S got hit while she was leaving the Doctors lot at her hospital. :eek2: The other car was also a doctor and she never looked back  as she pulled out of her parking space and ran into the passenger side of Kelly's mini. The damage is on the door and rear quarter panel. So now she 's off to the body shop !

Sorry to hear about her MINI getting dinged. Parking lots are accidents waiting to happen - at least they are low speed events. Good luck with the repairs.

Least it wasn't a high speed incident.. And luckily not the GP.

I just hate hearing about people's Minis getting damaged. I don't know why it pains me more than your average car....even your average luxury car....I guess it's cuz it's just not average in anyway shape or form...

Sorry ChristianMD

Bummer, dude. I feel for you because someone did the same thing to my first MINI.

They ended up replacing the whole door as the side impact protection cross beam was bent. Fortunately it was only my door that got it. No damage to the quarter panel. But they still painted the whole side of the car to get a proper paint match. In the end you could not tell it had been hit. Great paint match by the body shop.

Sorry to hear about this.... It really hits home when its a Purple MINI! My condolences.

Akk! that's horrible. I find myself parking farther and farther away from whatever place I've driven to, but I guess you can't always control what the other guy's going to do...

I feel ya.

I was driving down VA-123 on friday afternoon, traffic crawling along.
The guy 2 cars behind didn't slow down fast enough, hit the the minivan behind me and it bumped into my rear bumper. He shrugs his shoulders and says, "I'm sorry"

No real damage other than scratches to my rear bumper. This has further confirmed my belief that everyone (myself included ) is after my rear bumper. (That was incident #3)

Hope your MINI get's better soon

Anyone know where I can find a Solar Red Carbon-Carbon rear bumper for a 2006 MC?

Sorry to hear Christian,

I think you should make her feel better and give the GP to drive while her MINI is at the shop. :)

Its hard to feel sorry for the fleet MINI owners with regard to what car(s) they have to make do with......

When Wino was in the body shop, I had to make do with a Kia......... arrgh!

I know it's horrible.....

I MUST drive GyPsy once Streghina goes in for her rear bumper ... and I really wil prefer not to drive the GP w/ the cold weather and the current tires ..

chrisneal Jan 17, 2007 03:20 PM

Sounds like you at least know who the offending driver is, so this won't cost you a hefty deductible. Just trying to point out the silver lining...

Christian MD Jan 17, 2007 03:37 PM

Yea I reluctlantly gave her the GP  while I dropped off her car at Gary Best's Kustom auto body shop to get fixed and she is also getting some ghost hibiscus painted on the car so it will look real cool when it is done  !!
I get to drive the rental Ford taurus for the next week !!! :impatient

If makes you feel better .. a few months ago I had to pay a $500.00 deductible for a misterious damage on the loaner (EB MCS ) .and $15.00 shop fee that the Insurance company didn't want cover !

Some nice SUV driver left his mark on the MINI and left
