Thanks for the Welcome, Jeremy, and Wow! One week old, huh, and you're already in 2nd gear!

This is what I'm afraid of-- going from message board addiction (RealArcade's Virtual Village) to another!

What WILL my hubby do to keep himself occupied?!!!

Carl, would you be willing since you know the way?
Jen,
I am sorry you will not be able to come the Charlottsville. I would be happy to meet people who want to go to the Drive Inn. I am staying at the Omni. I understand it takes about 40 minites to get over to Fork Union. The Drive Inn opens at 7:00, and the show starts at 8:00. I was thinking 6:00 6:15 would be a good time to leave the Omni. What do other people think? I am new to the club so I do not know very many people. I have a purple S, and I will try to have a sign and dirrections in the parking lot. Mini Nurse got me to get radios so we should be able to talk on the way over.

We want to add one Mini with two people for Friday night in Fork Union and Saturday evening in DC at the Nationals game. With a forty minute drive and an 8 o'clock show, we figure folks will be leaving the OMNI Friday night at around 7. Is that about right?

I think it's a 6:15p departure from the Omni Hotel parking lot - look for Carl and his purple MCS and he'll be holding a sign and wearing a tutu (or something like that to catch our attention!)

I'm not sure what Carl's response will be to my PM, but we also responded to Jen's request to lead a MINIvan, and are on her first post about leading. I am sure that it will need two groups..I have a feeling the interest will grow once we are there... So I guess look for his PH MCS and for our EB MCS-Soulfire, we will both be glad to lead a pack of MINIS!!

I have two radios, one will be on 7/21 & the other one on 5/21.

Breaker, Breaker 7, 21, anyone got their ears on?

Edit: On the topic of CB lingo... here's a list of the "10 codes", these are UK specific which I thought fitting since we are in MINIs... anyone interested in actually memorizing and using any of these? hehehe (kinda geeky)

Hemi, xcali..I think you two are talking about two different things! the 6:15PM was for the drive-in (or am I really confused) and the drive along Skyline is the next morning!? Unless you are thinking of leaving at 0615 AM on saturday!

Yes, we live in the county surrounding Staunton. It is beautiful in the Valley with the mountains on both sides. Where did you stay? Stonewall Jackson Hotel? Are you going to C-ville?

Check the other thread

For those interested in the Skyline Drive alternative route to DC (Skipping King's Dominion) check the other thread on this board "MTTS -Charlottesville to DC via Skyline Drive"

MiniNurse knows all you, and I don't. I would like her to do the organizing, and I want to do what I can to help her. At her dirrection I will be happy to be in the parking lot with a sign, but I think I will pass on the Tutu.

Is anyone not going to King's Dominion and/or the ball game? I'm skipping both, and am beginning to wonder if I'll be by my little self.
Also are any DCMM members going to Charleston? I'm leaving tomorrow in the AM from Annapolis....

Question for anybody out there in that area. We have a friend doing MTTS from CA. She does not want to stay at the host hotel in DC (on Dupont Circle). Any suggestions for a close hotel on the VA or MD side?

By the way - her name is Jirawan - and I've told her to find you all DCMMer's when she gets there...

Katie - I told her I knew you were going to CT so maybe you all can motor together. She's all by her lonesome and having a ball...

Thanks,

Donna
