Marina, who were the other drivers? I'm curious as several of us had signed upfor the drive in June but weren't contacted for this event....

 

I was one of them. It was a good time. The only cop that didn't want us around was a meter maid that was having a bad day in Dupont on Friday. I will speak for all of us and say she was a *&^#%! But I guess she was doing her job.

Oh yeah, there was a bike cop at the Washington Monument that got mad at us for Honking our horns as we drove around. He said "horn are for emergency use only" which they are. But find me one person in DC that honks their horn for "emergency use only", in DC?

The Capitol Hill Cops hung out with us for 30-45 minutes. Those guys are pretty cool to talk to.

Eastern Market was a blast. It felt like we were there answering questions for half the day.

I'll have to admit Smarts are the perfect city car. One downfall is that the pause between gear engagement is really slow. I hope the change the transmission for the next gen cars that are due in 2008.
