I'm ready for round 2, but not my MINI. I'm finalizing my winter wheel plan... maybe I'll have something by end of next week.
A little 1.5 lane dirt road off of Davis Ford Rd. in Manassas. Fun to drive except for potholes and deer

Be careful tonight

It's going to re-freeze and be icy.

Yep, just a reminder...I almost ATE IT last night coming off the HOV lanes on 95 southbound. Roads were completely dry EVERYWHERE and as I exited 95 at Lorton I was (of course) cooking down the ramp and suddenly there were strips of black ice, maybe 6" wide, JUST on the ramp corner. Car got jerked all over the place but I held it on the road. Closest call I have had in years.

whoa...that'll teach ya. Go easy, ok? I hate seeing the "my car's been hurt" threads...they make me cringe. Not to mention, no-one wants you to be hurt, either.

So you guys want a big snow, huh?
Just make it after we get back from vacation, ok? Please?

I agree, I don't want holiday travel to be messed up, but once the new years starts, I say, "Bring on the almighty snow machine!".

TSIF!
The sky is falling! There's not a molecule of anything anywhere, and everything's closing up...schools, offices, etc. Lord, how folks panic around here!

Please be careful today. The forecasts I have read do not look great for the area.

Snow Schmow...

Was at MINI of Sterling to get the that leaky engine mount replaced. Was snowing on and off by 9 a.m. there. Leaving around 11 got to test the ABS and Traction control slightly on Pacicif Blvd before anyone was around me. Hmm. They work.

Got MINI home and tucked safely away in the heated garage and brought the truck to work.

Had my MINI in yesterday to get my wheels and tires swapped...

GEN-U-INE winter tires on the car now. Feels pretty darn good actually, to know that I won't get stuck... I look forward to touring the "overconfident-moron-with-an-SUV-in-a-ditch parking lot" highways later on today.

My only fear - snow tailgaters...

Still have to swap to the winters on the '04 for missus proto; I've got the jack and the garage, I've just been procrastinating. Unless I notice them getting squirrely today, I'll probably stick with the all-seasons--and a very light right foot--on my '02.
