DCMM New Members Welcome Thread
coldfusion? If so bout time you got onto NAM. If not, welcome!
1980 Austin Mini in Baltimore
A 1980 Austin Mini is on it's way from the UK as we speak. I will be bringing it through customs on Monday 5/21 and I am *so excited*.

Isn't she cute? I'm naming her Alice (as in Wonderland) for the checkerboard theme. I saw some of the trips you guys have planned. I really want to make it to the cherry picking, it looks like a lot of fun!
If you see me around, give me a wave!

WELCOME! I was just reading the "Help me convince my friends!" thread over in General MINI Talk, and I saw you posted this:
As soon as I saw that, I wanted to post "And you are EXACTLY the sort of person who should join DCMM!
"... but I had to check to see if you had already joined, and voila, you just did. Welcome to our crazy happy fun car club.

I'm about to send out at least a dozen new member packets....one is even going to CA.

Noobs, if you haven't anything to do this weekend, specifically Saturday at 4:30, come to my house for a Dragon Wrap-up gathering. Meet some members, watch/look at vids/pics of the Dragon and generally have a good time.
Details on the RSVP calender or here in post #21

the weather's starting to look iffy, but we can still grill...

Hello! Just sent in my dues for a years membership to DCMM! My fiancee (MiniEnglishRose on NAM) and I just bought a 2007 Chili Red non-S with a white roof, and we love it! The first event we're going to try to attend is looking like it will be the Cherry-picking, and we're certainly excited! Can't wait to meet all of you!
Hi everyone! I am so excited to be part of DCMM, but mostly I am excited to finally have my very own Mini
) I've been waiting for this day for sooooo long!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to meet other Mini enthusiasts and do fun activities together. It really sounds like there is a lot of variety in the events planned, which is really great. Hope to see you all soon!!!

Hey,
I just wanted to introduce myself since I just joined about 10 minutes ago. I was introduced to you guys by someone I met at the CarGuys Track Day in SummitPoint Raceway a few months ago. I was driving my 330ci at the time and was sharing that I had just gotten a 06 Chili Pepper Red MCSa. I'm in Alexandria in case there are some of you others in the neighborhood.

My wife will go nuts for her and I even think Wensleydale might get jealous if I look her over too much !
The three of us (Wensley, wife and myself) are new members too with one run under our bonnet. My wife and I have done plenty of fun stuff in the past, but driving Wensley in the Bay run ranks as one of the best. We're in for more and really excited about the Seals deal down in Va.
Currently I'm without Wensley, she's having surgery for a defective left strut and control arm. Her alignment has been flakey from about 2500 miles, of course I've been to the dealer three times and they finally figured it out. They didn't believe me when I told them I'd never hit anything, I hate when they assume things........anyway....I've got a non S loaner, she's quite sophisticated in her all silver paint, I've been calling her "Moneypenny", seems to fit
Cheers,
Mike
