"Britain on the Green" Sunday, April 24th Alexandria VA
The 8th annual Britain on the Green hosted by the Captial Area Triumph Register is Sunday April 24th at Collingwood Library and Museum. "The setting is historic and beautiful Collingwood Library , its surrounding grounds and gardens, on the bank of the Potomac River".
The event is open to all British Marques. It's a 'Celebration of Spring and British Marques'.
A member of the hosting club I work with asked me if I'd like to come, or rather if I'd bring my car, he said they've had several MINI's as well as Classic Minis. It is not a 'concours', though cars are in classes for a Popular vote by attendees. Neatly kept Daily drivers - non museum cars welcome. If we have enough 'New' MINI's they'll likely create a seperate class from the Classics.
I'm a fan of all the classic British marques and am signed up. Register by April 8th to save $ and in time to create a new MINI class. Registering a vehicle by I think the 8th is $15 and gets a dash plaque and eligibilty for awards, etc. You can pre order a lunch from them for additional fee or bring a picnic. Sounds pretty cool and like a neat gathering. See any of you there?
