Are you here the week of the 21st at all? I am trying to plan a beer and chow lunch or dinner that week - see this thread as a start -
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=39101

but it could end up happening the week of the 28th too.

We also have this event on April 2nd

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=38415

and you are welcome to come.

Jen, I think a trip to the clubhouse is in order...

Hafid what days work best for you?

For the uninitiated "The Clubhouse" is the Tortilla Factory in Herndon VA. A popular DCMM hangout that's been neglected by us lately.

We'll meet at 7 on the day of Hafid's choice....

Hey, is that the Census Bureau in beautiful <ahem> Suitland, Maryland? If so, I can get at least two MINIs to join you for lunch!

Yeah, I've been told to stay well away from that place...sounds like a winner of a location!

I'll keep you posted on this. Perhaps Thursday would be a good day?

Hello folks! So, lots going on...Babs gets a new ride, and so does Discosmurf! I'm trying to get her to come to the dinner too.

Next Thursday? 7pm? Tacos? Sombreros?

Oooh... it sounds like that you are coming over to my neck of the woods over in Suitland, MD! The census office is located in the (I think it's called) Suitland Federal Center. That time of day, getting around the beltway will be a nightmare. I'll ask around about what's the best way to cross DC around that time.

I really don't think there IS an easier way coming from DC over to VA. Haf, since you're leaving around 5:30 you might be catching the beginnings of traffic. There are folks in my office that live in VA and travel to and from DC all the time and from their stories, you just have to wait it out. It is teh suk, but hey...isn't all traffic?

Side note: Should be picking up my MINI sometime tomorrow

Excuse me while I go off into the corner and teach myself how to read again...

90 minutes Suitland to Herndon...That's probably about right in rush hour traffic.

argh! plans have changed!! at this time, work has swapped schedules (I found out this morning when a new e-ticket arrived in my inbox). I'm now coming back to Minny next week to work with the customer (they apparently really like me out there..so, maybe that's the only good thing about this).

folks, i'm so sorry!!! this happens all the time and i wish i could control it.

i'm trying to see if there's anyway i can still stick to the plan but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. sorry!!

Hafid: We TOTALLY understand. We are TOTALLY bummed but we get it -- it happens. If you can change your plans let us know --- else when you are in DC we will eat again!!

DCMM (and their friends): We are STILL on for DINNER at the Clubhouse (aka tortilla factory in herndon) on the 31st. Please don't go canceling your plans. Hafid will want us to drink and be merry in his honor.

Hugs,
PB
