Great job Mellow folk!

I was hoping to see a "Mellow Rd." sign photo.

Thanks for the church parking lot photos. I had my head buried in the map book and was oblivious to everything going on outside. Sorry I missed Edge's MINI lesson.
BTW, the church ladies (and men, not shown) were very nice and helpful.

Loved the new signature.

I checked the work schedule today and it looks like I should be off on the 16th.
Shouldn't be any problem throwing together a little apres-MoT run. I'll start on it tomorrow.

Sounds like a great plan, Jeff.

Awwww.... This looked like it was really fun! I'm really sorry that I couldn't partake in the event. I've been very poor and very busy as of late :(

Did a BMW M Coupe (or Z4 coupe, I'm not too sure) join in with everybody? Do we know them?

That's actually Edge's MINI in his superhero outfit.

Missed you on the run. Good to hear from you though. Was wondering where you had been hiding.

You know we just had to get that road sign!

Unfortunately, we couldn't get good angle on the sign at the intersection of Little Rd and Cooper Rd. You'll have to stop out there some time when you're putting together the next run.

Well, I designed most of the new route today.

I'll have to go out again Thursday and run it again with some changes I had to come up with for a loose, gravel section and for a deviation for a rest stop.

It took approximately 2 and 1/2 hours at a spirited pace and roughly 90 miles. That includes backtracking and investigating alternate roads, so real mileage should be in the 75-80 mile range.

I'll start a new thread when I get the real numbers.

I came up with a name for the run while I was driving (probably under the influence of corn pollen ) :

Vroom Vroom to Broom's Blooms Run

FWIW, my flavor pick of the day was Chocolate Cake Batter.

The Italian Wedding Soup and turkey sandwich were also very good.
Shouldn't go there without eating breakfast.

Is there anyway we can keep it under 2 hours max? (that's two hours one way right?)

I should be able to give you a definite answer Thursday after I run it again, But I'm gonna guess that it will be closer to 2 and 1/2 after you allow for the rest stop and traffic.

I like the new name. The cover of Maryland Life magazine caught my eye the afternoon -- "We Scream for Ice Cream." The cover story was about Maryland's best dairies, and Broom's Blooms was prominently featured. What a trendsetter you are, Bill! http://www.maryland-life.com/

My pictures aren't nearly as artistic as Bev and Glenn's, and many are inferior duplicates of the same shots, but here are a few others from the day.

I'd love to do the run again, long or short version.

Nice shots Karen!

I like how you fit the whole group (except for camera shy Barbie and SuperOEM) in the mirror shot.

I have to admit that I'm not that much of a trend setter. It's just that Maryland Life was even slower to discover Broom's Blooms than I was.

The first time I went there, I was thinking to myself, "Wow, what a neat little spot! No one back in Baltimore probably ever heard of this place."

Then I saw the City Paper and Baltimore Magazine write ups on the wall.

Ran the final version of the route today.

Mileage: 78 miles

Time: 2 hours and 20 minutes without rest stop

Sorry Larry, that was as short as I could cut the time.
