[Sun, June 29th @ 9am] Hangin' on the Curves & Pickin' the Cherries II

"Cherries & Twisties" is back.


Experience "The thrill of getting lost in middle of the mountain",
(jk , I will do better this time).

Come join us for a refreshing trip to the hills!



Meeting in Frederick, MD at:
Frederick Towne Mall, main parking lot
1301 W Patrick Rd, Frederick, MD
at 9 am, we will depart promptly at 9:30am.Heading north we will work our way through the hills and curves of Gambrill State Park, Cunningham Falls State Park and down the winding ways of Catoctin Mountain National Park.
Total of 65 miles, Driving time of 2 hours.




After we've warmed up the rubber on our tires, we'll let them cool while we enjoy our brunch buffet. We will stop for brunch at:
103 Frederick Rd / Rt.806
Thurmont, MD 21788
Cost: $16/person, included 10 main-courses buffet, deserts, beverages, tax and gratuities.
(Note: Sunday buffet price is higher than other days, more food selection !!!)

Kindly bring exact cash for the amount.

Then it will be time to heading out for picking cherries at Pryor's Orchards in Thurmont.

Need to check my calendar at work and see the date for the company picnic. Hopefully it isn't that day cause I love them roads around Thurmont

I want to be in the back this year, I was one of the lucky(?) nine last time

and we still got to the rest stop last!! It was a good time for sure.

We're having our "Scale" fly-in on the 28th, if you want to see some fantastic scale model aircraft come on by ! info for "Airplanes of the world" is available here

MiniPol, love the card! I made one like it for my dental visits and whenever there's a new receptionist, I ask her to punch a hole for me. The look of confusion and panic is actually kind of funny.

Mean but they always have a good laugh afterwards.

I checked with the orchard, they said this will be another good year for sweet cherries and blue berries.

You got me. Actually, I did stop by the orchard today. The sweet cherries won't be at its peak, not until after 20th of this month.

So our date, June 29th, is perfect for cherries pickin'.
