Hi Everyone!

I just upgraded from my 2002 DS Cooper S to a GP, and I thought I'd introduce myself on the DC Metro forum and show off some pictures of my new car!

I bought it this past weekend from a fellow NAM member. 3200 miles on the clock.

It wasn't me, since I just got the car this past weekend. The PO said he hadn't driven it the previous week, either.

I did see another GP a few weeks ago about a quarter mile from MoS, which was the first one I'd ever seen in person. It really blew me away when I then walked into the MoS showroom and then saw the used one they're selling - two in a row!

I'd never been totally sold on the GP in photos, but after seeing it in person, I decided to pull the trigger.

I've had three coworkers make fun of make for the red mirrors, but what do they know!

 

They're just jealous that they're driving "nuthin' special" cars, I got crap over my checkered rearview from my coworks the other day One drives a Volvo and the other an ancient Honda Civic......

The GP is awesome... it was very cool that MINI was willing to make such a special version.

the GP has a very unique look when it's coming at you. I've seen a few around my area and it never ceases to catch my eye. It doesn't appear to be a MINI at first, then I see the red caps and know it's a GP. I think it has something to do with the overlay around the scoop and the unique bumper.

Beautiful car! Sadly for me, though, I haven't seen a GP on the road since seeing a bunch of them together at MTTS!

 

It's Fairfax, near the Fair Lakes area. All the new neighborhoods look alike...

WOW, Congrats on the new Mini! Glad that there is one so close to where I live. Def. looking forward to meeting you at some events and checking out the car.
