Hey DCMMers, it is that time of year again! Time for our annual meeting.
This year it will be at Funktion Auto after the MOS breakfast.

The annual meeting is where members gather to discuss club happenings from last year, and happenings coming up in the future. It is open to ALL active members (meaning you have paid your dues for this year!) To attend you MUST RSVP! This is very important, we need to know how many to plan food for! If more than one attending, drop me a PM and let me know how many, so I can count extras! Also, PLEASE let me know if you are vegetarian so I can get an appropriate meal for you.

As well, we will be electing new board members. If you want to be on the board and help make things happen for our club, please PM either Krut or myself and let us know you want to run. There will be 4 positions open. If you would like to run, you will be running for the board, not for a specific position on the board. We will decide that as a board once the meeting is over.

Our agenda for the meeting will include:

-Membership numbers
-Update on financial status of club
-501c7 status completed discussion about it
-Upcoming events brainstorming
-volunteers for events
-Details about the successful launch of products (flags, badges, hats etc..)
-future swag ideas
-MOTD dinner plans
-Call for members to be included on the ballot and be considered by the membership for a board member seat
-Election of new officers

This is THE meeting of the year, and we hope to see you there!

Is there a date cutoff for RSVPing?

 

The sooner, the better.

We'd prefer to know the confirmed number before hand, in order to make sure that we will have enough food / beverages and spaces to accomodate everyone.

um..I'm running as well...yes, I've done this before and yes I'm out of my tiny mind...but someone has to step up to help run the club.

I offer up my vote for you as well - although unless the bylaws have changed the club has no provisions for proxy's so my vote doesn't mean much this year.

What time you do expect the business meeting to start? Right at 11:00 am? I need to cover for someone on Saturday morning in Alexandria. I will likely leave there right at 11:00 am.....will I miss everything?

 

I imagine we will eat first. So no worries. I don't think you will miss stuff.

You MUST RSVP for the meeting. You also MUST be a paid member to be a part of the meeting and vote. If you are a guest of a member that is ok. RSVP will close Friday. So if you are not on the list, sorry you can't come. I hate to say this, but it is coordinated with the caterer for a certain amount of people.

 

i'll be in attendance. how long do we expect the annual meeting to last?

 

given the crowded agenda, I'd say it's gonna be at the very least 2-3 hours. Lots of ground to cover, especially since the club's gotten so big.

Pretty important stuff too, so I hope folks will stay through the meeting.

I just tried to RSVP per the link to the calendar; however, I was not able too.
I assume that the Friday cut-off was sometime earlier today?
Since I can not RSVP (per the calendar/link); therefore not allowed to attend, guess I wait for next years meeting.
