The New and Improved Membership Badges
Hey everybody,
Last week, Glenn (MrMellowYellow) PMmed me with a suggestion for identifying club newbies and vets just by looking at their membership badges.
With a little thought and some tweaking by Byron (MiniCooperCops, who makes our badges), the club now has a new addition to your badges. This change will be on the next batch of badges I send out later this week.
From now on, in the upper left hand corner of your badge, there will be a small yellow "seal", printed directly on the badge. For the 1st year of membership, that seal will be empty. After a full year of membership and renewal, there will be a 1, after a second full year of membership and renewal, there will be a 2 and so on. So, at a glance, members can tell newbies from vets. When you renew, simply tell me how many full calendar years you've been a member, and it will appear on your new card.
the seal will be a bit smaller, but y'all catch the drift.
This change was instituted for the enhancement of our membership. It wasn't a board decision, because it doesn't directly effect the day to day running of the club. Although the idea was supplied by someone else, the execution is solely my doing. So, if you have a problem with this change (tho' who in their right mind would), PM me. There doesn't need to be any whining or complaining on this thread...
A HUGE thanks to Glenn and Beverly for getting the ball rolling on this. This is the kind of input I and the board need to make DCMM membership more enjoyable.

Wow... this is great indeed.
Thanks to Glenn and Beverly so much for this wonderful idea.
Also, big thanks to Katie to make this happened.
It's only less than a week since we've received the pm from Glenn, and the idea comes into live, awesome.

Yup, you're in the 1st batch. I just sent the info to Byron today, so you'll be getting your new badge soon.

Wow! Thanks for implementing this so quick Katie!
We love how the idea has evolved. Putting the number of years of membership on the badge is a great improvement.
Thanks for being so open to suggestions everyone.

glad you approve, Miz Club Founder
Hey it was a small change, easily implemented..so it was a no-brainer. Don't forget to thank Byron, as he really came up with the final idea/design.

Yes, FANTASTIC idea Glenn and Beverly!!! I always wondered who was new and who was old when I first joined. I'm glad there's finally a solution. Great job to everyone involved!!
