Guten Tag! Greetings from Berlin

Figured since i have nothing to do i would drop a quick line from Berlin and give everyone a mini update. A lot of minis over here in contention with a lot of other smaller cars. surprisingly i havent seen a single cooper S. I am still on the hunt for the elusive miniD though.

stay tuned, i will post pictures of minis that i come across, as we will be traveling to prague, amsterdam, and hamburg.

Auf!

Man I was gonna see if you wanted to meet up for a drink in old town. I guess that's not gonna happen.

Have fun!

We are out here for a conference we are hosting. We are staying at the Ritz Carlton in Potsdamer Platz. Pretty interesting here so far. The berlin wall used to run directly through where this hotel is now.

First week is our conference, second week is free as me and another guy i work with will be traveling through europe.

Original plans were to try to hit up the nurburgring, but everything i read was it is pretty hard for foreignor to rent cars near and around for obvious reasons.. so we scrapped.

Pictures when i take them..!

The traffic laws are so complicated that you'd probably get a ticket in the first hour of driving. Enjoy and send some pics of Smart cars. Have fun.

While in Berlin go get a Doner Kabob at a place by Friedrishstrasse station. The place is built into the overpass. Best thing I have ever eaten!!!!

How lucky you are I spent 16 glorious years of my life in Berlin. My kids were born there, and my daughter and her husband just visited there last month.

The first thing she told me upon her return was, "Mom, there were TONS of MINIs there." But, what does she take pictures of? Smart cars!

Be sure to eat some "pommes mit mayo". French fries with mayonnaise.

Along with those Pommes Fritz, make sure you have some coke, no ice, or a room temperature Heffe Weisen.

Jawohl! Or, some Berliner Kindl or Schultheiss to wash those Pommes down.
Ah, such fine memories.

I miss Germany so much. I absolutely love it over there. And I must say that the southern part of it, the Bovaria, is my most favorite. Perhaps some of us should check it out during the Oktoberfest which is coming right up.
