Better wheel?

New to the Mini scene but I've been auto-xing for 6 years. I'm running an 06 MCS without LSD in D stock. Question is would I be better off running a slightly heavier wheel to help with wheel spin? I'll be using Hankook R-S3's on a 16" wheel. Was looking at X-lites but thinking stock 5 spokes may be better. Thoughts?

I'd think lighter is better, but at the same time if you're running Street Tires in DS I don't think it's going to matter. Get whatever is cheaper on craigslist.

A heavier wheel will not help control wheel spin nor make you faster. Try a lighter right foot instead.

Lighter is better, but adrive7 and aklucsarits are right, on street tires it probably doesn't matter. A lighter right foot will do wonders

If you do go the lighter wheel route, Rota Slipstreams are what I bought. 16x6.5 45mm offset 14lbs. D/H stock legal. Relatively cheap. $565 shipped. (I sure you can find them cheaper).
