How much compromize of daily driver with Koni shocks?

Sorry if this question has been asked before. How much does upgrading the factory "Sports" suspension on my new 2008 MCS to Koni Shocks for competiveness in G stock, compromize the every day ride of the car.

They're pretty comfortable so long as you're willing to soften the settings after each race day. Which means spending about an hour taking down the rear suspension assemblies. Ony my r53 I got tired of doing that and just kept them at a little more than half the stiffest setting and they turned out to be a bit stiff for the street.

I run my shocks set at 1/2 stiff for the rear rebound and leave them there....haven't taken it apart since I installed them. That's with a DA revalve on the rear...It's quite tolerable. I soften the rear bump after events though.

Some thought provoking information regarding twiddling the settings in even the best adjustable shocks can be found here: http://farnorthracing.com/autocross_secrets6.html

But what do I know - my idea of compromise in a daily driver is coil overs!

SPAX are quite a bit more adjustable without having to disassemble anything.

Thanks for everyone's input.
How do SPAX compare to KONI as far a competitiveness in G-stock?
