Which Kumho V710?

I am finally getting R compounds for my R56 - which V710 is best for 16" rims: 215/40 or 225/50. Should I go wider or lighter? The 225/50 are listed as a full 5lbs heavier on the Tirerack site.
Thanks

Good question, most people have run the 215/40/16, and the top two at nats were on the equivalent Hoosier. So that would be my answer.

We run much smaller, tighter courses, and I found that the 225/50s had more grip, and were WAY wider. It destroyed the gearing, but I did find that the 225s were faster on the types of courses that our events run.

I think that the car simply needed the extra tire width.

I still run the 215/40s in the rear, btw.
