Poll: Which looks better

I have a black car, so I like the black wheels (2), but I'm also married with kids and the car has the chrome accents on the exterior, so I'm thinking the bright grey may be the way to go. (1)

Thoughts?

128 views and five votes... impressive

The dark wheel style is more to my liking. color to color the darker is best.

dark wheel spokes but silver. i voted dark.

First wheel for me. Better styling plus I am not a big fan of all blacked out. Think it ties in the accents of the car well.

miniRogue1 11-22-2022 07:00 AM

@Snakpak definitely thinking the silver is the way to go. Possibly different style now seeing how tough it is to get the first one but black is losing this battle

Snakpak 11-22-2022 07:01 AM

What wheel is that?

Konig Oversteer. Fairly popular, but either out of stock or at a place "I don't like" :)

Thinking Enkei TMS now...

But the silver over the black is the big win out of this poll for me. Thank you.

EVERYONE has black wheels and blacked out trim. Do something different and make it your own.

Be unique, just like everyone else.

Edit: wait, why did it say this thread had a new post? I got tricked.

quotation is a serviceable substitute for wit

So, which did you end up getting?

miniRogue1 08-24-2023 02:02 PM

enkei TMS. So neither of the ones i asked about. :)

didn’t want to go black or five star when i thought about it.

Terrific choice! Those look really nice. What size are they?

miniRogue1 08-24-2023 02:18 PM

Thanks. I believe they’re 18x8

i sometimes wish i went with 18x8.5 now so i could possibly upgrade to the bigger brakes. But that’s a big operation so I’d probably never pull the trigger anyways

marker2037 08-24-2023 02:38 PM

Haha, I'm having a dilemma myself choosing a tire and wheel combo, choosing a 17x8 +35 and either 225/60 or 225/65 tire for it. I want as tall as possible, but preferably without having to modify any wheel well if I can avoid it.

Here's something you might find interesting. I put 8 inch wide NM Engineering wheels on my 2019 JCW, and they cleared the brakes (I think it was 45 offset). Then, I traded my 2019 for a 2020 JCW and wanted to keep my wheels. Since the 2020 brakes are MUCH longer than the 2019, I was afraid the NM Eng wheels might not fit the 2020. THEY DID! But, the 2020 stock JCW wheels hit the front calipers on the 2019! So, if you want to go to 2020 brakes, they might clear without having to go to wider wheels.

Go black and silver for a double win, haha!
