New F60
New F60
I had a CM couple years ago and wanted back in. Picked up 19CMS today. In anticipation of getting this one I've been back tearing through aftermarket tire and wheel size threads. Thing is there are 10 million different answers and I'm trying to find out what I think is easy for someone who already did this but I cannot find a definite answer and I saw it was kind of asked before. Looking to go to 19's. I want to fill out the wheel well and push them out and no rubbing on stock suspension. So what I got from here is a 245 40 19 on a 8.5" width rim and et35. Now I think the 35 pushes them out further so to not have any rubbing maybe I'll go et45 and then just get spacers to my liking. Now the 245/40/19 is a touch smaller in height than the stock 225 50 18. Again, I just want to fill out the well as much as possible without any rub. Any help, much appreciated. I would like to put a 230 50 19 which is 28" tall

Congrats on your new F60- white with black accents looks sharp! Have you check out my set up? It's 18X8.5 with 245/40s and ET45 all around but will give you a good visual if you decided to go 19s. With ET35, the wheel face will come out an additional 10mm- not a big deal because with 19s, the sidewall will be thinner. Good luck!

Looks good! I want a machined/silver rim to throw off a little. I'm trying to fill out the wells also. Just added tint today. I ordered flaps and black handle covers also. Then CAI and Dinan elite tune coming also. This forum is tough. Not that many on it seems anymore.

I like the tint...It will probably be our next mod too. The car is our daily driver so I wanted to stay with 18s for comfort and tire selections etc...but like you, wanted to fill up those wheel wells a bit. Ended up both filled out the well AND raided the height of the car by 10mm which is a plus. My only other mods right now are a better intake filter and NM Power Module. This wakes the car up a bit and it is better in normal mod for daily commuting. But yeah, it's kind of quiet on here but I do check back from time to time...
Yes, I believe so because you are able to carry more sidewall for comfort plus rim protection. Additionally, it is also easier and cheaper to find tires. Finally, it can be lighter as a whole package as 19s tends to be heavier and forcing you to run much thinner sidewall while paying a premium. If you get decent wheels around $200 a piece and get Flow Form forging type of wheel as they are a step up from a more traditional mold, gravity cast wheels. Of course if you spent 500+ per wheels then they better be forged from a solid billet.
I read into Elite and Dinan tuning and all of that but at the end of the day, I didn't want the ultimate in hp gain...just drivability and ease of install and remove while not having to worry about voiding warranty etc... my search led me to NM Engineering power module: http://www.nm-eng.com/home.aspx
I got mines from ECS Tuning and it was shipped promptly and I have had no complaints since running it for months now. No affiliations or anything, just personal experience from all the readings and eventual purchase. Just enough hp and tq increase for our daily commute. My wife didn't even have to use the sport function...it's how the car should have came from Mini. We use 93 pump here so I left the module in the high setting and have had no issues.

Still no issues for us and the wife is starting to use the Sport mode daily too and so far so good. I've notice the unit is now a little cheaper too on a couple of sites too if you look around you can find a deal. From my research it seems that if you don't touch the air intake system, other than maybe a better OEM style filter element, there will be less a chance of running into CEL issue/s.
