Crazy Wide + Small Offset

There is a local CL deal for a set of Fifteen52 Tarmacs that is SCREAMING my name. I'm worried about it though. The size is 18x9.5 et20. They will sit at the same place with regard to the inside but stick out nearly 2.5 inches.

Looking at the stock wheels I have now, that extra 2.5" puts the edge of the rubber well outside the current fender arches. I could do the JDM Works flares, but I haven't seen any real reviews on them.

Just how stupid is this, exactly?

I can't get a lot of info on these. Visually, it appears like they would line up with the stock lips/skirts while still giving some extra width, but I really can't say for sure. There aren't ANY other photos that I've found. The whole bodykit is so-so, but I really like the wing and the light pod as well. The rear diffuser is pretty good looking too. It's just a shame it's $7000 before you have it installed/painted. It looks like you can order them direct for a savings, but you'll need a friend who speaks/writes Japanese:

Oh, the reason why I think these fit the stock lips/skirts is this photo shoot:
dealer-blog.mini.jp/mini_ota2/2016/07/r60-6.html
In the middle set there, that R60 has the JDM Works side skirts with the stock fender arches with no funky step. My feeling is that any of the parts are swappable at any time without requiring the whole kit.

Thanks for the link's !

They look like they may be a touch wider than OE, but like you said, without any real technical info it's just a guessing game as to a proper fit . Not crazy about the looks of the front lip.

I will probably wait until I've fitted the tires and wheels and ride height before ordering or making any flairs. I have a vision in my head but haven't seen it all put together anywhere on the interweb..... Yet.

No, not yet. The guy wants just a hair too much for them. I think I can wait him out though because I'm the only one interested and they've been listed for weeks.

I for sure want them. They'll get powder coated as soon as I get em. My current paint scheme would work fine with the white (Royal gray with white roof and white mirrors), but I'm moving to a red and gray theme (chili roof, mirrors, brake ducts, grill surround). I'll likely go for a charcoal color.

Did you check out Garbino on our site or the JCW Countryman Body Kit on sale? Those are some other options. Soon we will have all your Japan coverage on MINI stuff. Can't give you any more info on that yet.

@ECS do you have a link to the Giomic? It doesn't return any hits in the search box.
