JCW Brakes on Countryman S

Good afternoon!

Got a MY 2012 Countryman S. So far so good... Not very happy with the brakes (esp. keeping in mind I plan to remap ECU soon). I've searched but found nothing about fitting JCW brake kits to Countryman.
Is there any step-by-step guide available?

Thanks!

AK

You don't find anything because the JCW brakes on the front of the Countryman are the same size as the standard Countryman S.
The rears are slightly larger, but other than that and the calipers being red they are the same.
We've been using the Wilwood kit to upgrade the brakes as the kit is a 6 piston kit and really has a lot more clamping force.

I'm talking about JCW Brembos you could find on non-CM Minis. Something like these guys:

I appreciate your response but I'm not a big fan of what Willwood does.

That kit is for the newer F56 car so it won't work on your R60 as they are totally different.

Got it... How difficult would be to "adopt" them? From what I understand rotors will fit, these are calipers that should be fitted thru the adapter. Is this correct?

Is a good rotor/pad upgrade (EBC) a more economical solution to improved stopping power?

I put drilled and slotted rotors on my mini cooper s and noticed and big difference in stopping power. the grey coating holds up nice. ive had em on their for 2 years and still no rust. check em out online but call them when you are ready to order, they are very friendly and helpful. www.sp-performance.com

You would be the first if you could even make it work as it's not going to just bolt on.

Yes they are pretty good and cost effective. We've been using them in our shop with many happy customers reporting back good news.
